Contactless​ Angle Sensors Including Euro-XPK 'Puck + Magnet' Version - On Show!

Variohm EuroSensor will be showcasing the new 8 mm D-shaft option EURO-XPD and Puck EURO- XPK to its Hall Effect angle sensor range.

The company will also show the increased the interfacing flexibility of its motorsports-proven Euro- XP non-contacting angle sensor.

The Euro-XPD is available with a choice of 32 or 38 mm PCD mounting. The D-shaft integral magnet allows easy installation, particularly for throttle position sensing, without the need for a separate coupling.

Form-fit interchangeability with competitive models is easy with the optimal magnet to sensing- element gap maintained within the assembly. There is also a choice of mounting diameters. The coupling-free sensor is convenient for direct connection on other motorsport position sensing applications such as steering angle, suspension and gearbox.

The Euro-XPK is a separate ´Puck + Magnet’ version from the comprehensive 28 mm diameter Euro XP family. The Euro-XPK has a long life and is an extremely robust position sensor, which operates with true non-contact technology.

The Euro-XPD design features selectable magnet types, which the company says makes it easier for installation if sensing and mounting is difficult, and it suits arduous high-duty cycle position feedback applications.

Both sensors feature the industry preferred 5 VDC ratiometric output and include a redundant dual- track 360 degree measuring range for safety-critical use. The new sensors join the Euro XP family with completely contactless technology, mechanical bearing-free design and long-life specification in excess of 50 million or 100 million movements.
